Título: ORAL MULTIFOCAL ANGIOSARCOMA IN A YOUNG PATIENT

Resumo: We report an exceptionally rare case of multifocal angiosarcoma in a 21-year-old male patient who presented with a complaint of purple nodules in the gingiva and palate with one-month duration. The medical history included rapid weight loss, tiredness, back pain, dyspnea, and profuse nosebleeds. Laboratory tests showed increased levels of liver enzymes, GGT, alkaline phosphatase, and CRP. Serology for HIV and syphilis was negative. Computed tomography of the chest and face revealed soft tissue nodules in the lungs, maxillary/frontal and sphenoid sinuses, ethmoid cells, and perihilar and mediastinal lymph node enlargement. Clinically, there were multiple firm purplish nodules in the gingiva, palate, and oropharynx. Incisional biopsy of the gingival involvement revealed an angiosarcoma. The patient was referred to the Oncologist, however, unfortunately, he developed respiratory failure and died 15 days after the biopsy.
