Resumo: Inverted papilloma is a rare nasosinusal tumor with three very specific characteristics: potentially strong local destruction, high recurrence rate and risk of malignant evolution. Case Report: Caucasian male patient, 76 years old, diagnosed with an inverted papilloma in the nasosinusal region and treated with surgical resection. A recurrence has presented in 1 year at the hard and soft palate transition central region. Clinically, the lesion was single, nodular, ulcerated, with irregular edges, normal mucosal colors, irregular edges and papillary projections. In magnetic resonance imaging exams, it was presented predominantly on the maxilary sinus left side. A medial maxillectomy with rhinotomy was performed. The patient was rehabilitated with an immediate, temporary and definitive obturator prosthesis, respectively. Rehabilitation with this removable prosthesis is important for monitoring and maintaining the local in search of recurrences. This case has a 4 years follow-up, without recurrence.
