Título: Management of aneurysmal bone cyst using Doxycycline - a case report

Resumo: Forty-seven year old male, presented to the service in October/2018, referred by another Institution for performing a biopsy in suspected periapical cyst, in the right size of the mandible. During the procedure, the surgeon noticed a significant bleeding, not compatible with this type of injury, aspiration puncture of the lesion was performed and another biopsy was programmed. Computed Tomography showed an extensive bone destruction, with root resorption. An exploratory biopsy was performed. Microscopic findings established the diagnosis of aneurysmal bone cyst. Conservative management of the lesion was chosen, using local injection of Doxycycline associated with albumin, using the following dosage: two ampoules of 100 mg of doxycycline were mixed with an ampoule of albumin, and intraosseous administration was performed until the lesion was completely filled and the fluid leaked.. There was bone neoformation and the patient has been in follow up since then.
