Resumo: Dentinal dysplasia is a rare hereditary disorder in 1:100,000, characterized by a regular coronal structure and atypical dentin. Radiographic alterations in the pulp chamber conformation and root shape are found. These dentinal alterations could originate from apical lesions not associated with carious lesions. Objective: To present the radiographic characteristics of dentinal dysplasia found in a patient who attended a consultation with a radiographic finding of a cystic lesion in the anterior region of the mandible. Clinical Case: A 17-year-old female patient attended a consultation complaining of tooth mobility in the anterior mandible region, and the panoramic radiograph showed an image suggestive of a cystic lesion in the anterior mandible region on the left, with the presence of pulp chamber and canal obliterations and alterations in root shape, suggestive of Type I dentinal dysplasia.
