Resumo: Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common benign tumor of the major salivary gland, but very uncommon in minor salivary glands. Females are more affected in the age between the third and fifth decade of life. The objective of this report is to describe a case of pleomorphic adenoma in a male patient, 61 years old, melanoderma, in the lower lip with a 1-year evolution. The intraoral examination revealed a nodule with normochromic appearance, little mobility, fibroelastic, submerged in the region of the lower lip, between teeth 35 and 31. An excisional biopsy was performed and, after carrying out the histopathological examination, it was confirmed the diagnosis of pleomorphic adenoma. This case highlights the need to maintain this entity in the differential diagnosis of intraoral swellings of some duration, being vital that health professionals maintain a high degree of clinical vigilance due to its possibility of malignancy transformation.
