Resumo: Female patient, 17 years old, denying allergies and comorbidity, with history of swelling in left hemiface starting 2 months ago, attend an emergency care unit that diagnosed sinusitis and prescribed azithromycin. With no improvement in the condition, she looked for another service that regulated the patient to an emergency hospital, being admitted by the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery sector and submitted to clinical and imaging examinations (Ultrasonography and Face Tomography). On clinical examination, a slight left facial asymmetry with increased volume at the bottom of the upper left buccal vestibule, in the canine region.
She reported paresthesia in region at the onset of symptoms. Imaging exams demonstrating soft tissue injury causing bone lysis in anterior wall of the maxillary sinus, lateral nasal wall and left infraorbital ridge. After an incisional biopsy and subsequent immunohistochemistry with a result of high-grade B-cell lymphoma, she was referred to an oncohematologic center.
