Título: SYNCHRONOUS ODONTOGENIC KERATOCYST AND DENTIGEROUS CYST: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 46-year-old male patient referred due to a complaint of a lesion in the left mandible. Physical examination reported a history of volume increase in the posterior region of the mandible for approximately eight months. Imaging exams showed a unilocular radiolucent area in the body and left mandibular branch and resorption of the roots of element 36. An included element 18 with cystic appearance was also observed in the right maxilla. Incisional biopsy was performed in the mandible and maxilla, with a diagnosis of odontogenic keratocyst and dentigerous cyst, respectively. The treatment performed was cystic enucleation together with extraction of element 18, followed by curettage and enucleation of the mandibular lesion, associated with chemical cauterization with 5-fluorouracil, maintained in the cavity through gauze and removed after 24 hours. The patient is being followed up for 12 months without complaints or signs of recurrence. Complementary treatment to lesion removal reduces recurrences.
