Resumo: Objective: This study aimed to report the clinicopathologic features of 15 carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma cases. Study design: Clinicopathological data were retrieved from the archives of a Brazilian pathology service and all cases were microscopically reviewed. Results: Most patients were male (11), with an average age of 61.4±9.96 years (range:46-82). The parotids were affected in 13 cases, followed by the submandibular and minor salivary glands (1 each). The cases were classified as salivary duct carcinoma (6), adenocarcinoma, NOS (4), myoepithelial carcinoma (2), epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma, undifferentiated large cell carcinoma, and secretory carcinoma (1 each). Seven were frankly invasive, 2 minimally invasive, and 6 intracapsular. Most patients were between clinical stages III-IV and all were treated by surgery. One patient is alive with the disease, 6 patients are alive without the disease, and 2 patients died of the disease. Conclusion: This study represents a well-documented series of CXPA, contributing additional clinicopathological findings to the literature.
