Título: OSTEOSARCOMA IN THE JAW: REPORT OF TWO CLINICAL CASES

Resumo: Here, we report two cases of patients diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (OS). A 44-year-old female, sought medical attention complaining of a lesion in her jaw and painful symptoms. On physical examination, a swelling was observed in the right genian and submandibular region, as well as bulging in the vestibular cortex. A cone bean computerized tomography was requested which showed a mixed lesion with irregular borders, extending from element 46 to the right retromolar trigone. The second case was a 19-year-old female, sought medical attention complaining of pain and swelling in her jaw and chin. In this case, radiographic findings reveal "sun ray" periosteal reaction in compatible with OS. An incisional biopsy was requested for both cases that showed a mesenquimal malignant neoplasm composed by pleomorphic cells producing osteoid matrix. As a malignant neoplasm, both patients were referred to the Head and Neck medical specialty for further treatment and monitoring.
