Resumo: Vascular lesions can become a nuisance for the patient when they interfere with aesthetics or bleed. A 58-year-old female complaining of a wart on the lower lip sought the Stomatology clinic for evaluation. A previous intervention, performed by other health professionals, led to scar formation, dividing the lesion into two: a painless, non-bleeding purplish nodule on the lip vermilion and another on the lip mucosa, measuring about 1.5 cm. It was positive at diascopy test. Vascular malformation was the diagnosis. Sclerotherapy with ethamolin oleate, diluted with anesthetic, in increasing proportions of the medication was chosen. An insulin syringe was used with applications around the lesion, the needle facing the center of the lesion. After eight applications with an interval of 15 to 30 days between them, to evaluate the response to the medication, the aesthetic result was considered satisfactory and the patient shall return every year for reassessment.Proex-UFES; Fapes.
