Título: Angiomyoma in oral cavity: a case report

Resumo: Leiomyomas are benign entities commonly found in the uterine region, but rare in the oral cavity. When this tumor presents a vascular arrangement, it is classified as Angiomyiomas. Microscopically, angiomyomas are described as circumscribed nodule with vascular spaces with different vascular diameters and wall thicknesses. A 56-year-old female with systemic arterial hypertension and type II diabetes mellitus presented to dental assistance presenting three sessile, asymptomatic nodules on the right buccal mucosa and lower lip, of unknown evolution. The lesion located in inner mucosa of the lower lip was diagnosed angiomyoma with IHC positivity to SMA, desmin, and CD34. The other two specimens presented the arrangement of fibrous inflammatory hyperplasia. The immediate follow up period does not report any postoperative complaints or lesion recurrence.
