Resumo: Unicystic Ameloblastoma usually were treated like cysts and the correct diagnosis is made only after microscopic analysis. As treatment, the ideal method is still a controversy in literature, alternating between enucleation or partial resection. This study reports a 30-year-old woman patient´s case diagnosed with mural proliferation unicystic ameloblastoma in right mandibular body, treated at first by marsupialization, with radiographically confirmed tumor regression. Following three years of abandoned treatment, the patient came back and the professional proceeded with a new marsupialization, considering the previous successful regression of the tumor. However, after 8 months of decompression with no sign of regression, the surgeon opts to partial mandibular resection and immediate bone reconstruction in two times. This study also aims to discuss a brief literature review regarding the treatment modalities of unicystic ameloblastoma, which should take into consideration the type of tumor proliferation, its location and size, and age of the patient.
