Resumo: Epidermolysis bullosa represents a rare genetic disease caused by mutations in genes encoding skin proteins, resulting in bullous formations on the skin and especially on the buccal mucosa. A female patient with a previous diagnosis of epidermolysis bullosa sought treatment at a specialized dental service. During the oral clinical examination, it was verified the absence of upper and lower right incisors, gingival retraction, edematous gingiva with bleeding when stimulated, poor oral hygiene, extensive caries, teeth with impaired anatomy and ankyloglossia. Firstly, adaptation of the oral environment was carried out, with prophylaxis and dental restorations, in addition, the patient received oral hygiene guidelines, and help to face the fear she felt when brushing her teeth and causing new bullous eruptions.
