Resumo: AbstractObjective: This systematic review aimed to embody published data regarding synchronous cemento-ossifying fibromas (COF), analyzing its demographic and clinicopathological characteristics. Materials and Methods: Case reports and case series of synchronous COF were searched in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and EMBASE. A descriptive statistical analysis was performed following PRISMA (2020). Results: Nineteen studies comprising 20 cases of synchronous COF were included. A predominance of female patients was found (n=12/ 60.0%) and the mean age at diagnosis was 35 years (±13.87). The mandible and maxila were affected simultaneously in 13 cases (65.0%). No syndromes were reported. In two cases (10.0%) first-degree relatives (parents or siblings) were previously diagnosed with COF. Among the cases that detailed the management (n=17), eleven were treated by surgical enucleation and/or excision (64.71%). Follow-ups were provided for 13 cases (65.0%), with a mean period of 37.25 (±59.12) months. Recurrence occurred in four of 13 cases (30.77%). Conclusion: Synchronous manifestation of COFs are rare, and female patients around the 3rd decade of life are more commonly affected. Bilateral involvement among mandible and maxilla is the most common clinical presentation.
