Título: CEMENTO-OSSIFYING FIBROMA EXTENSIVE IN THE MANDIBLE - CASE REPORT

Resumo: Patient, female, 41 years old, with a previous diagnosis of cemento-ossifying fibroma, complaining of intermittent pain in the chin region for six months. Extensive swelling was observed in the lingual and buccal region, with crepitus and teeth mobility. Tomography showed a hypodense osteolytic lesion with hyperdense foci, causing bulging of the buccal and lingual cortices in the region of the mandibular symphysis and parasymphysis bilaterally. Prototype was requested for surgical planning and definition of the margins of the lesion. Complete removal of the lesion through a partial resection of the mandible was performed and subsequent rehabilitation. Histopathology showed variable proportions of hypercellular fibrous tissue and cementum-like mineralized structures, confirming the diagnosis of cemento-ossifying fibroma. Patient is being followed up and has had no recurrence for one year.
