Resumo: The aim of this case was to show how a compromised oral condition associated to immunossupression can lead a life-threatening medical conditions. LFP, male, 39 years old, underwent to a surgical procedure of drainage purulent collection in mediastinal, pleural and cervical region, due to septic shock of multiple abscesses, two weeks after use of rituximab for treatment of multiple sclerosi. Postoperative computadorized tomography (CT) were performed to find infection focus and to follow up the case in intensive care unit (ICU). Mandible CT showed tooth 38 as a possible origin of cervical abscess, which led to others distant abscesses. The patient underwent to a dental surgery under general anesthesia to extract tooth 38 and others compromised teeth. The dental culture collected had the same result as others previous cultures. Multidisciplinary care allowed an improvement on clinical conditions and patient was referred to hospital ward.
