Resumo: First, a 54-year-old white female presented a nodule covered with normal-looking mucosa on the vestibular gingiva between 33 and 34, measuring 0.5 cm. The lesion was asymptomatic with a four-year evolution, and the tooth vitality tests were positive. Clinical hypotheses were mucocele and ossifying fibroma. An excisional biopsy was performed, and histopathological examination revealed a cystic cavity lined by cuboidal or stratified squamous epithelium with focal clear cells. The final diagnosis was adult gingival cyst, and the patient did not show any recurrence in the six-month follow-up. Second, a 50-year-old white male was referred with a pale-pinkish nodule, measuring 0.8 cm, on the vestibular gingiva between 33 and 34. Vitality tests also showed normal responses. The clinical hypotheses were periodontal lateral cyst and central giant cell lesion. After an excisional biopsy, histopathological examination was similar and compatible with an adult gingival cyst. The patient has not shown any recurrences.
