Título: SURGICAL CILIATED CYST AFTER MAXILLARY SURGERY IN YOUNG PATIENT - A CASE REPORT

Resumo: Surgical Ciliated Cyst (SCC) is a rare non-odontogenic cyst, recognized as distinct entity by World Health Organization in 2022. SCC occurs predominantly in maxilla, affecting individuals of 5th to 6th decades, and associated to previous history of surgery. Here, we report a case of 28 years-old male patient, withe, to underwent to corrective surgery due to automobile accident. After 1-year of this surgery, this patient complained of swelling in anterior maxilla, asymptomatic. Intraoral examination showed whole mucosa with slight swelling in left maxilla region. Panoramic radiograph revealed, in anterior maxilla region, an extensive ill-defined unilocular radiolucent, and root reabsorption. Clinical diagnosis was ameloblastoma. Incisional biopsy was performed and microscopy findings exhibited respiratory epithelial linning with mucous cells and inflamed cyst wall. Based on this, final diagnosis was SCC. Decompression, and after, total enucleation were performed. Follow-up of 17-months no revealed signs of recurrence.
