Título: RARE CASE OF METASTATIC RECTAL ADENOCARCINOMA TO THE ORAL CAVITY IN YOUNG WOMAN

Resumo: Female patient, 36 years old, white, with a 17-month history of rectal adenocarcinoma and several metastases, referred to the Dental Service with a nodular increase in the mouth after months of palliative chemotherapy treatment. On extraoral examination, the patient had edema on the right side of the face. On intraoral examination, a painless nodule measuring 4.0 x 3.0 cm was identified, with superficial necrosis in the right mandibular vestibule. Panoramic radiography and tomography did not show intraosseous alterations. An incisional biopsy was performed and microscopic analysis showed an infiltrating tumor characterized by islands of malignant epithelial cells with a columnar appearance and a tubular pattern. The epithelial component presented pseudoductal structures that resemble the intestinal mucosa, with intraluminal secretion. Positive immunohistochemistry for CDX2 and Cytokeratin 20 and negative for Cytokeratin 7, establishing the diagnosis of metastatic rectal adenocarcinoma. The patient died 23 months after the diagnosis of the primary tumor.
