Resumo: This study presents the case of a 61 year old male patient who was examined at the care facility with the complain about a white patch in the back of the right vestibule extending through the jugal musosa on the same side measuring approximately 5.0x2 observed in intraoral clinical examination, without painful symptoms with evolution of 4 months. An incisional biopsy was performed and the histopathological examination described a clinical diagnosis of fragment of buccal mucosa covered by squamous epithelium showing hyperkeratosis, acanthosis and severe epithelial dysplasia with leukoplakia compatible. The proposed treatment was the removal of the lesion using a Diode laser to be performed in two stages with a of 30 days interval. The treatment proved to be effective removing all of the lesion that has not recurred so far Patient is under strict control by the team.
