Resumo: Dentinogenic ghost cell tumor (DGCT) is an uncommon locally invasive odontogenic neoplasm, considered a solid variant of the calcifying odontogenic cyst. A 11-year-old female presented with an intraosseous mandibular lesion, discovered incidentally on a panoramic radiograph obtained for orthodontic documentation. Clinically, there was no intraoral swelling, however, tooth 47 was absent. Cone-beam computed tomography revealed a 2-cm well-defined mixed mass in tooth 47 region and his absence. An excisional biopsy was performed, and the surgical specimen was sent for histopathological analysis. The final diagnosis was DGCT. The last follow-up, 24 months after the initial surgical intervention, showed normal bone healing. We emphasize the importance of considering the clinical, radiographic, and histopathological findings in conjunction when making the diagnosis and deciding on the appropriate treatment in cases of DGCT.
