After the regression of symptoms, the treatments were suspended, and the patients are being monitored for the maintenance remission of symptoms. Results: Twenty-one patients who underwent Photobiomodulation therapy, 15 showed symptom remission, 3 did not improve, and 3 abandoned treatment. The average number of sessions performed on patients was 6, being 2 sessions the minimum number, and the maximum of 15 sessions performed. Conclusion: Photobiomodulation therapy has shown to be effective in some cases for treating BMS. However, due to its multifactorial nature, other professionals may need to be involved, and other therapeutic modalities may be prescribed.
