Título: ODONTOGENIC MYXOMA OF THE MAXILA: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 15-year-old male was to evaluate with an increase volume of the face. Reported asymptomatic appearance and gradual evolution for eight months. Extra and intra-oral examinations showed an increase volume of the left side of the face with orbital unevenness; erasure of the buccal vestibule firm consistency and imprecise boundaries, between the left second upper premolar and third molar extending to the midline of the hard palate. Radiographs and computed tomography showed a hypodense, unilocular, well-defined image, extending throughout the maxillary sinus, part of the left nasal cavity and orbital floor. The hypothesis was odontogenic myxoma and ameloblastoma. To confirm the diagnosis, incisional biopsy and anatomopathological examination were performed. The histological findings were compatible with Odontogenic Myxoma. The patient was referred to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service where total lesion resection was performed. He is currently under follow-up without signs of recurrence and awaiting oral rehabilitation.
