Resumo: Surgical resection of benign and malignant neoplasms of the face and head can cause considerable tissue loss, such as ear amputation, which can decrease the patient´s self-esteem, well-being, and quality of life. As a way of recovering these qualities, the manufacture of extraoral maxillofacial prostheses can be a rehabilitation option. This case study aims to report three cases of rehabilitation with auricular prosthesis of patients who underwent auricular amputation as a form of antineoplastic treatment. After resection of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) or malignant neoplasm of the head, face, and neck, the patients were referred to maxillofacial prosthesis services because they felt uncomfortable with the absence of their ears. Through the analogic method, all prostheses were confectioned, following the steps of molding, waxing, and siliconization. All patients were rehabilitated with silicone auricular adhesive prostheses, which improved their quality of life and body self-image.
