Resumo: Cystadenoma is a rare benign epithelial salivary gland neoplasm, representing 1.4% of all benign salivary gland tumors. This study reports an unusual case of cystadenoma on the palate of a young female patient, who was referred to a stomatolgy service. The lesion was an submucosal nodule, with purple coloration, fibrous consistency, measuring approximately 2cmx1cm, in the hard palate, on the right side. The clinical hypotheses were a benign salivary gland cyst or mucoepidemoid carcinoma. An incisional biopsy was made and the diagnose was chronic sialadenitis. After, an excision of the lesion was performed using a surgical diode laser with a super-pulsed, dual wavelength 810 + 980 nm with 2W of power. The histopathological exam reported a cystadenoma. Six months after surgical resection of the lesion, the patient is still being monitored and shows no signs of recurrence.
