Resumo: Ameloblastic fibroma is a rare benign odontogenic tumor that usually affects the mandible and occurs in children and young adults. A 14-year-old teenager presented an asymptomatic increase of volume in the left mandibular region, around one year history of evolution. Panoramic radiography revealed a multilocular radiolucent image extending from the body region to the mandibular branch. Incisional biopsy of the lesion was performed with the hypothesis of fibrous dysplasia and odontogenic myxoma. Histopathological analysis revealed epithelial component consisting of proliferation of columnar cuboid cells, arranged in long, slender cords sometimes in basophilic epithelial nests, with peripheral nuclear palisade, which occasionally surround loosely arranged central areas. The mesenchymal portion is composed of a loose collagenic matrix. The diagnosis of ameloblastic fibroma was established, due to the combination of clinical and histological findings. The patient follow-up was lost.
