Resumo: Multifocal epithelial hyperplasia (Heck´s Disease) is a viral condition that mainly affects children and young adults, often related to indigenous populations. The condition is typically self-limiting and resolves spontaneously. A 10-year-old female was reffered to a dental office presenting multiple papules with similar color along upper and lower lips and buccal mucosa. The lesions were around two years of evolution and has a family history of similar cases. A biopsy in one of the papules was performed, and histopathological analysis revealed an epithelial lining lesion characterized by marked acanthosis, blunt and deep projections of epithelial ridges into the connective tissue, spongiosis, individual intraepithelial keratinization, mitotic-like cells, and a koilocytic appearance in several cells. In the lamina propria, a chronic inflammatory infiltrate with predominance of lymphocytes and histiocytes was evident. Based on the clinical and histopathological findings, the diagnosis of Heck´s Disease was established. The lesion does not need additional treatment.
