Resumo: Angiolipomas are rare benign mesenchymal tumors composed of adipocytes, with a significant blood vessels proportion. Usually presenting as a well-defined mass, surrounded by a thin fibrous capsule, generally asymptomatic, with slow growth. There is a predilection for females.A 7-year-old girl sought care for facial asymmetry on the left jugal region. A clinical evaluation was performed, and the patient had already undergone a previous non-contrast enhanced facial CT scan. Facial ultrasonography (US) was recommended due to its great capacity to diagnose soft tissue disturbances and revealed the presence of a hyperplastic buccal fat pad associated with rich vascularization, detected by Doppler. The patient was taken to surgery for removal of the lesion by a 5mm intraoral incision, with concomitant use of US to address the lesion morphology. An anatomopathological examination confirmed an angiolipoma. The patient has been followed up for three years, without any post-operative red flag.
