Título: GIANT CELL GRANULOMA IN MAXILLA: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: Giant cell granuloma represents 7% of all benign tumors of gnathic bones, there is a predilection for women, and the not aggressive type the most common one. The management of legions depends on the aggression, size and location. In the clinical case presented, a 22-year-old female patient referred after radiographic finding of a radiolucent lesion apparently associated with the root of a vital teeth 12 and 13, with volumetric increase on the buccal surface that is firm to palpation and painless. Aspiration puncture and incisional biopsy were performed. After confirming diagnosis of giant cell granuloma, we opted for total surgical removal under local anesthesia, the coronal opening and intracanal medication of the teeth involved have already been performed. After 10 days, she had no pain and considerable reduction in local volume. In a 6-month follow-up, a reduction of the lesion can bee seen in periapical radiography and cone bean tomography.
