Resumo: The present report aims to describe dental anomalies in four children with microcephaly. Patients with a mean age of 7.1 months, one male and three females, diagnosed with severe microcephaly and neurological damage were referred to our service to evaluate their dental arches. On intraoral examinations, they showed developmental defects: white enamel opacities of upper and lower permanent incisors and cream enamel demarcated opacities in the occlusal face of deciduous molars. Additionally, they presented developmental disturbance of eruption such as alterations in the chronology and sequence of permanent tooth eruption. On panoramic radiographics, dental agenesis, supernumerary teeth, tooth-size reduction, taurodontism etc. were not observed. Currently, these patients are in follow-up for dental development. Further studies are needed to investigate dental alterations in children with microcephaly.
