Resumo: Odontogenic myxoma (OM) is a benign tumor derived from the odontogenic ectomesenchyme. This report describes two cases of OM with unusual features. Case 1 - A 21-year-old female complaining of swelling with 5 months of duration. Panoramic radiography revealed a multilocular, mixed lesion, which involved the left mandibular body and ramus. Root resorption and sunburst appearance were also observed. Case 2 - A 24-year-old male with a large asymptomatic swelling in the right jaw of 4 years´ evolution. Imaging examination showed a radiolucent area extending from the posterior maxilla to the floor of the orbit. Under local anesthesia, an incisional biopsy was performed. Microscopically, there was a loose myxoid tissue, with scarce spindle cells without atypia. The diagnosis of OM was established. Both patients were submitted to surgical resection and, recurrence was not observed. Although rare, OM should be considered in the differential diagnosis of lesions with aggressive features.
