Resumo: Lymphomas are neoplastic proliferations of the immune system, in the oral cavity they represent the third malignant neoplasm. The prevalence of oral lymphomas in patients referred to the oral medicine department in the period 2006-2022 was retrospectively evaluated. A descriptive and retrospective single-center study was designed. The total were 68 patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in the oral cavity, 39 male and 29 female patients. The mean age was 57 years (20-90 years), the most affected location was the palate (23.5%), buccal mucosa (23.5%), maxilla (22.1%), mandible (22 %), gingiva (4.4%), tongue (2.9%) and floor of the mouth (1.5%). Fifteen types of NHL were recorded, the two most frequent being diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCL) (33.8%) and plasmablastic B-lymphoma (20.6%).In the current study, B-cell NHL was the most frequent, and DLBCL was the most common subtype in the oral cavity, coinciding with published studies on the subject. Knowledge of these data could be useful when making a differential diagnosis when an intraoral lesion suspicious for lymphoma is found.
