Resumo:
The advantage of analyzing biofluids is the amount of information related to the patient´s general health, among other aspects, being able to diagnose diseases and monitor therapies from the evaluated biofluids. Blood, urine and saliva tests require preparation; still, the time to obtain the final result can be long, requiring the study of new techniques that provide quick results and with minimal sample preparation. Raman spectroscopy is a vibrational spectroscopy technique that can provide biochemical and molecular information of the sample in real time. With this technique we can observe complex characteristics of biochemical samples such as: hemoglobin, cholesterol, among others. The objective of the present work is, through a literature review, to see the current aspects of Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of body biofluids. In this literature review, articles from 2005 to 2022 were used, using the keywords biofluids, Raman, saliva, blood, forensics. It is concluded that studies involving Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of body biofluids are in progress. The analysis of these fluids using Raman spectroscopy is not as sedimented as the analysis of solid samples, thus showing that more studies involving biofluids must be carried out.
