Resumo: Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT) is a benign tumor, more frequent in males and in the maxilla. A 17-year-old female patient complained of "a mass is bothering my mouth", noticed eighteen months ago, with pain on palpation and chewing. The medical history revealed frequent fainting and a habit of nibbling the lower lip. At physical examination, swelling on the left cheek and buccal/lingual extending from 33 to 36, erythema and gingival edema, and tooth displacement. Cone-Beam Computed Tomography showed an hypodense region interspersed with hyperdense image inside with cortical bone expansion/rupture, tooth displacement towards the base of the mandible and root resorption. Ultrasonography of the region ruled out a vascular lesion and the incisional biopsy revealed a cystic cavity with micro accumulations of mucoid material and micro areas of mineralization with a final diagnosis of AOT. The lesion was enucleated, and the patient is fine.
