Título: AGGRESSIVE B-CELL LYMPHOMA IN THE ORAL CAVITY AS AIDS MANIFESTATION

Resumo: We report a case affecting a 29 year-old male patient, homosexual, brazilian, complaining of a lesion in the lower vestibular mucosa, which was initially believed to be a periapical lesion. The first incisional biopsy performed, was inconclusive, after, total closure of the right eye and dilated pupil were also noted, and possible hairy leukoplakia on the lateral border of the tongue. Preoperative exams were requested, including complete blood count, coagulogram and fasting blood glucose. A larger second biopsy of the region was performed and subsequently HIV serology was requested, confirming the HIV positivity. Additional immunohistochemical study was then performed using Bcl2, Bcl6, LCA, CD45, CD20, CD138, EBV, c-MYC, MUM, Kappa, Lambda and Ki67 which confirmed the diagnosis of an aggressive B-cell lymphoma. The patient was referred to local infectious disease and hematology reference centers, staging the disease, started HAART therapy and chemotherapy and is currently showing improvement after 6 month.
