Resumo: This study aims to report the clinical and sociodemographic characteristics of patients diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia (FA). The sample was carried out for convenience and 51 participants were included, 27 women and 24 men with ages ranging from 4 to 42 years. Most patients were non-white (70.6%), from the south (31.4%) and southeast (29.4%) of the country and had undergone hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) (68.6%) with more than 10 years of follow up. Related HSCT represented 48.6% of cases followed by unrelated (28.6%) and haploidentical related (22.9%). Only one participant reported electronic cigarettes use and one participant reported drinking alcohol daily. Regarding Graft-versus-Host Disease, 31.4% of patients had a history, with 50% with oral manifestation. 31.4% of participants had oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMD), most cases in the tongue (34.2%) and buccal mucosa (21.1%), being leukoplakia the most frequent (60%). The sample presented varied characteristics, few patients have not yet been submitted to HSCT, and with a high prevalence of OPMD. These characteristics increase the predisposition for malignant transformation and therefore require routine dental follow-up to screen for OPMD and, consequently, early diagnosis of oral cancer.
