Título: MANIFESTATION IN THE ORAL CAVITY OF SWEET´S SYNDROME: CLINICAL CASE REPORT

Resumo: The aim was relate a case of Sweet´s syndrome in a patient with acute myeloid leukemia. A 58yo white male patient, with previous diagnosis acute myeloid leucemia and myelodysplatic syndrome presented a purplish swelling association with necrotic surface, pain and spontaneous gingival bleeding in the lower gingiva. In addition, presented papules and violaces macules with necrotic crust in different sizes in skin, with touch pain. Incisional biopsy was perfomed and the anatomopathological report showed intense neutrophilic inflammatory infiltrate with leukocytoclasia and areas of hemorrhage in the conjunctive tissue, suggestive of Sweet´s syndrome. Systemic and topical corticosteroids were started, with regression of the lesion in the dermis and oral mucosa. Due to the severity of the underlying disease, patient died. Sweet´s syndrome presents a complex set of signs and symptoms that make the diagnosis difficult, requiring interdisciplinary approach. The final diagnosis comprises the clinical manifestations, laboratory tests results and anatomopathological features.
