Resumo: Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is the most prevalent malignant neoplasm of the oral cavity. This work consists of a clinical case report of a SCC in the oropharynx attended in the SUS network. A 64-year-old female patient sought the local family clinic (primary care) complaining of "two small balls at the end of the roof of the mouth on the left side, which only bothered, but did not hurt". On clinical examination, two exophytic lesions were observed in the tonsillar pillar of the left oropharynx, united at the ends with a papilloma aspect. The patient was referred to a stomatologist for biopsy (secondary care). The histopathological result was SCC. The lesion was removed using robotic surgery, by the head and neck surgery team at a reference oncology hospital (tertiary care), avoiding the need for radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy, with no recurrence, with physiological functions and anatomical structures preserved so far.
