Resumo: Adenoid ameloblastoma is an uncommon subtype of ameloblastoma, which has recently been incorporated into the latest version of the WHO odontogenic tumour classification. Histologically, it is characterized by the presence of classical features of plexiform ameloblastoma, with features of duct-like/glandular structures. The presence of dentinoid is also commonly reported.

Here, we present a case of an 24-year-old male who consulted for an asymptomatic swelling of his anterior mandible that had been present for 4 months. CBCT scan showed an unilocular, well-defined osteolytic lesion expanding both the vestibular and lingual cortical plates, extending from the second left to the second right premolar producing exorizalysis. An incisional biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of adenoid ameloblastoma. Due to the contingencies of the COVID-19 pandemic, immediate surgery was not possible at the time of diagnosis. Therefore, decompression cannulas were installed, which significantly reduced the size of the lesion after 18 months of use.
