Resumo: Mucopolysaccharidosis are a group of rare inherited metabolic disorders caused by deficiency of specific enzymes involved in glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) catabolism, leading to their accumulation within the lysosome. Female patient, 38 years old, attended the dental clinic reporting asymptomatic gingival swelling and that "The teeth were disappearing". She reported that two of her three children had the same characteristic. Hematological exams, imaging exams (total abdomen) and a genetic diagnosis were requested. The patient was diagnosed with Mucopolisacharidosis and referred for medical/dental treatment.
