Resumo: The aim was to report two cases of erosive oral lichen planus (OLP). Case 1: Female 79-year-old patient complaining of pain presented an erythroleukoplakia lesion in the dorsum of the tongue with areas of ulceration, with a 6-month evolution. Incisional biopsy revealed hyper parakeratosis and mononuclear cell infiltration. At the time of the six-month follow-up, worsening of the clinical findings indicated a second biopsy, revealing intense inflammation, compatible with erosive OLP. Therapeutic with topical clobetasol propionate was effective for the symptoms and the diagnosis of erosive OLP was defined. Case 2: Male 59-year-old patient with no pain, revealed erosive lesions in bilateral buccal mucosa and in the tongue, permeated by white striae plaques. Exfoliative cytology was negative for malignancy and indicated a secondary fungal infection. Therapeutics with topical clobetasol propionate was also effective and the final diagnosis of erosive OLP was defined. Both patients remain under control.
