Título: DECOMPRESSION IN FOLLICULAR AMELOBLASTOMA: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: Male patient, 13 years old, was evaluated with an extra-oral volume associated with an intra-oral volume, bone consistency on palpation with a floating point close to the lower right first molar. The radiographic examination showed an extensive radiolucent lesion, unilocular, 10cm in the largest diameter, well-defined limits with displacement of tooth 48. The intralesional puncture revealed citrine liquid content and an incisional biopsy was performed with a histopathological compatible with cystic capsule. Were opted for decompression and after 14 days of the surgical procedure, the extra-oral physical examination showed a significant reduction in dimensions with improvement in mouth opening. A new histopathological examination for follow-up with an histopathological diagnosis of follicular ameloblastoma was made and after 90 days a significant reduction of the lesion was observed in the Computed Tomography with considerable bone formation in the body of the mandible and he is still being followed up.
