Resumo: Crohn´s Disease is an inflammation of the gastrointestinal system, whose main symptoms are abdominal pain associated with diarrhea, fever and weight loss due to difficulty in absorbing nutrients. A 9-year-old boy was referred for evaluation of multiple mouth ulcers with several periods of regression and exacerbation. In addition, the patient also presented widespread redness in the gingiva. The main hypothesis was hypovitaminosis and blood exams were requested, which showed extremely low serum iron levels. At this moment, the patient´s mother reported episodes of swelling in the belly and diarrhea, requiring hospitalization several times. The patient was referred for medical evaluation and imaging exams and serum calprotectin levels leading to the diagnosis of Crohn´s disease. The patient is currently in maintenance therapy without oralmanifestation of the disease.
