Resumo: The erupted odontoma is an unusual clinical manifestation in approximately 1,6% to 1,8% of the population. A 37-year-old female patient, melanoderma, attended to the stomatology clinic with an aesthetic complaint of "several teeth in the gum". On intraoral examination, multiple nodules of hardened consistency, similar to crowded microteeth were observed, located anterior to the right lateral incisor, asymptomatic and with no mobility. Radiographically an increase in radiopacity was observed, similar to that of dental tissue. The clinical and radiographic features led to the diagnosis of erupted compound odontoma and the treatment consisted in the surgical removal. In the reassessment, after one week, the healing was adequate, with no pain or signs of infection. This case refers to a rare lesion, with few cases reported on the literature and wich despite its limited growth potencial, can cause dental crowding, damage to periodontal tissues, secondary infections and, mainly, aesthetic damage.
