Resumo: The lymphoepithelial cyst is a rare soft-tissue cyst that can arise in various organs, such as the pancreas, stomach, and thyroid. The oral lymphoepithelial cyst (OLC) represents less than 1% of all oral lesions. Most OLC occurs in female adults as a slow-growing painless nodule that appears on the floor of the mouth or the lateral border of the tongue, usually with a yellow-to-white color. The present case describes an asymptomatic pedunculated nodule in the palatoglossal arch, in a 36-year-old female patient. The lesion was approximately 5 mm in diameter, with a smooth surface, yellowish color, and firm consistency upon palpation. An excisional biopsy was performed. Histopathological analysis depicted a cystic cavity lined by para-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium, with areas of lymphoid tissue in the cystic wall, confirming the diagnosis of OLC. Enucleation is the best treatment approach and prognosis is excellent, with no reports of recurrence or malignant transformation.
