Resumo: The Adenomatoid Odontogenic Tumor (AOT) is an uncommon benign lesion originating from the odontogenic epithelium, usually diagnosed in adolescence, with a slight predilection for females. It is a slow-growing, asymptomatic lesion that occurs in the anterior region of the upper and lower jaws. Based on the low prevalence of this lesion and its uniqueness, this case report aims to add knowledge to its current scenario. A 15-year-old male patient presented a unilocular hypodense lesion with hyperdense foci involving an impacted canine in a CT scan. The lesion was completely removed with the tooth. Microscopic examination showed a well-encapsulated lesion with solid proliferation, presenting nests of fusiform epithelial cells in a nodular arrangement, rosette-like and ductal structures with central eosinophilic material and foci of calcified material, compatible with a diagnosis of AOT. Its treatment consists of enucleation, and recurrences are rare, but often results in the loss of the involved tooth.
