Resumo: The aim was to report two cases of female patients diagnosed with autoimmune disease revealing both oral and cutaneous lesions and a myriad of findings that contributed for a challenging final diagnosis. The first patient revealed oral ulcers in the buccal mucosa and whitish mucous patches in the tongue, together with eruptions in the skin, evolving for seven years. The first impression was pemphigus and recurrent aphthous stomatitis, and the dermatologists optioned by IgA or viral dermatoses. The second patient revealed erosive lesions in the hard palate, surrounded by an erythematous area, and non-continuous pain, during the last six years. The first impression was erythema multiforme and other viral infections. Biopsies from both patients revealed chronic inflammatory cell infiltrate. After several serological and microbiologic tests, both patients maintain the diagnosis of mucocutaneous auto-immune disease, without specification. Both cases improved with the use of corticosteroids, however without a total resolution.
