This lesion could be confused with others disorders of the oral cavity and the final diagnosis is determined by Anatomopathological examination. In a appointment, a 75-year-old female patient reported a "a swollen tongue sensation". The clinical examination, was observed a nodular lesion on the left border of tongue, approximately 2 cm diameter, yellowish color, smooth surface and soft consistency. Based on the diagnostic hypothesis of lipoma, excisional biopsy was performed. Post-removal, the surgical specimen freshly obtained biopsy was placed in a labelled bottle containing 10% formalin. The anatomopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis benign tumor compatible with lipoma. Four years postdiagnosis and surgery excision, the lesion did not recurrence. The patient is still under clinical follow-up.
