Resumo: Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by airborne Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In pediatrics, most infections evolve with clinical manifestations between one and two years after the first contact, in an extrapulmonary and severe form. We will report 2 cases of extrapulmonary TB in female children aged 8-11 years who presented asymptomatic submandibular/cervical swelling that partially regressed with the use of antibiotics. FNAB was requested with a diagnosis of granulomatous lesion with epithelioid cells, as well as imaging exams (USG and chest PA) and Mantoux test. With the suspicion of extrapulmonary TB, the patients were referred to a reference center for infectious diseases, treated with the RHZE therapeutic scheme and became disease-free after 4 years of clinical follow-up.
