Resumo: A fourteen years-old caucasian male was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the nasal cavity and right maxillary sinus at age 4. Treatment consisted of dactinomycin, etoposide, ifosfamide, irinotecan, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin and vincristine in 51 chemotherapy sessions and 5040 cGy in 28 radiotherapy sessions directed at the primary tumor located in the nasal fossa. After a 8-year follow-up, several significant sequelae of the oncological treatment in his oral health can be identified: delay in the rhizogenesis process and alteration of anatomic morphology in impacted, semi-impacted, semi-erupted and erupted teeth (all maxillary teeth and mandibular second molars), agenesis (mandibular right second premolar), bilateral flattening of the poles of the mandibular condyles, and malocclusion. Patient is undergoing clinical, radiographic and orthodontic follow-up using removable rehabilitation appliances to allow a better maxillomandibular development in order to provide comfort and quality of life to the patient.
